Achieving five seasons and one hundred episodes is no mean feat in the increasingly difficult-to-break-into world of TV sci-fi, so it’s with hearty congratulations, a firm handshake, and a dewy-eyed salute that we send Fringe on its way this week.

This Friday’s finale comprises episodes ninety-nine and one hundred, Liberty and An Enemy of Fate, rounding off Fringe’s story with what promises to be an explosive and revealing couple of hours. Take a look at the teaser trailer below:

The Fringe finale airs in the US on Fox this Friday the 18th of January at 8/7c and will be simulcast in the UK at 1.10am on Saturday the 19th on Sky One.

I don't regret sticking it out till the end, as some of the character moments made it well worth my time (when I could puzzle out the complications of the multiple versions of reality). I usually work late so I’ve been watching all the episodes with my co-workers at DISH on our lunch break, and we can’t get enough, but I feel as if I missed something in the finale. I’ve also been recording all the episodes on my Hopper DVR from DISH, so that I can store all the episodes on the hard drive, and watch all them again when I get home from work. Plus, a great feature to have on the Hopper DVR is PrimeTime Anytime. That feature allows me to record up to six live HD channels at once during primetime, including 4 local HD networks, and 2 additional channels of my choosing. By using PrimeTime I’ll never miss any of my recordings due to DVR conflicts!
