It's the moment we've been waiting for, a new trailer for Doctor Who's forthcoming series, and you can take a look right here...

It's finally here, a proper look at what to expect from the new series of Doctor Who.

Not since the teaser released at the end of March have  we been treated to a walking, talking, running version of the Doctor and co., so we'll waste no more time in presenting it. See it courtesy of BBC America below.

So that's dinosaurs on a spaceship, peeved robots, space pirates, snow-capped mountains, and lots and lots of Daleks... Come back for our in-depth analysis just as soon as we've woken up properly and written one.

Looks amazing, can't wait! Daleks and Dinosaurs! What more you could ask for. Think we are in for a treat this series.

Amazing, can't wait, every Dalek that ever existed, brilliant

All the planets must have aligned today as this looks bloody great and Prometheus is getting a sequel (sorry, have I blown it there?)

I know some will be doubting Moffat for bringing back every single model of Dalek, but I'm actually really excited. It's such a rare thing to happen in the show that I think it should be celebrated and not doubt it. I think it's likely this will lead to something bigger next year, because it's a bit too coincidental that something this big is happening just before the 50th anniversary.

Let's just enjoy Doctor Who for once and not complain and criticize it to no end. This is the build up to the 50th anniversary, let's be excited by that. The trailer looks like classic Who, so I for one cannot wait and am so glad in begins in just a few weeks.

Walder Freyyyyyyyyy!

Exactly what I thought...!

wow, way to spoil what is possibly a companion death (or at least injury) on the screen grab on the main page. Thanks.

So is Moffat even bringing back the "gay daleks" from the Victor Lewis Smith show?

Seriously? Rory/ Amy/ both die in an episode and this somehow surprises you?

Is it confirmed that they die? I thought they were just 'exiting' the show.

Was that a baby weeping angel I spied!

To be fair mate its actually a official image released by the bbc. not a screen grab if you want to avoid spoilers why are you clicking on a link to watch a trailer?

It's not a screen grab it's the official image released by the BBC....it's everywhere

Looks like we have a real treat to look forward to. Roll on August 25th!!

A few bits of this remind me of the Red Dwarf western episode ... not a bad thing by the way!

EVERY Dalek? Where's the Pakistani Dalek then?

Did anyone else hear the rumour (and this may be a huge SPOILER so dont read it if you want to see the series fresh) that in the New York set episode the statue of liberty is a weeping angel? She cant move because people are always looking at her, even if thats not true i love it!

Oh god, not the weeping angels! They were freaking scary the first time round! Admittedly less so the second, still behind-the-sofa-material! Still can't wait, looks fantastic. And the daleks again? Who would've guessed it ;)

The trailer features dinosaurs on a SPACESHIP, not a plane - the actual episode is even called "Dinosaurs On A Spaceship".:P Dalek episode could be epic, as long as their plan is actually threatening and does not involve making cups of tea.

It can't be a companion death - the Dalek episode is supposedly the first of the new series, and the Ponds are scheduled to leave right before the Christmas special introduces the new companion.

Yup, sorry about that. Noticed it first thing but goblins are still stopping us correct it for some reason.

In fairness, we haven't really seen the Daleks since the beginning of Series Five, 2 1/2 years ago. Even if that was a weak appearance you can hardly complain about them returning.

And I have a feeling this will be the final appearance of the Weeping Angles, I think even Moffat knows that the more they appear the less scary they become. But it just makes sense for them to appear in Amy and Rory's final story, so it doesn't bother me.

Oooooooo....dinosaurs on a plane! Got to be better than 'Snakes'!

It hasn't been confirmed they die, Moffat has simply said not everyone gets out alive, or words to that effect. But nowhere has it been officially stated that Amy and Rory die.

Think he got put in the curry!

Oh great, I guess we know that the Doctor kills about a million daleks in one go again, and rescues Amy when she was definitely, absolutely going to die. If he pulls out a magic bracelet or presses a hidden button and they all blow up then I'm officially never watching again. They'd better not waste all those vintage daleks too quickly. Still, once they've definitely, absolutely been wiped out forever, we can wait until next year when it turns out some survived.

Man--its been TOO DAMN LONG since we had some new WHO & this trailer really reminded me of that. I'm READY for the next season & what we just saw sure looks fun to me.

Hadnt heard it, but, like you--- I LOVE the idea & it would certainly help explain why that story is set in NYC.

YES & that is even MORE creepy to me than the adult ones--little baby time/life stealing, neck breaking angels....SHIVER

Stop watching right now. It will save you an obvious amount of anxiety. ;)

Looks epic. I think. The Daleks thing is simply to address the beating they took in their new day-glo debut. Getting back to basics, I imagine. Setting up for 50th. ;)

I certainly get the feeling Asylum of the Daleks and possibly any Dalek episodes next year are being written to re-establish the new models in the hope of convincing viewers they're not 'gay Teletubbies' as many refer to them by.

Just looking at the trailer it seems the RTD Daleks are still the more dominant ones, but that eventually they will be replaced with the red coloured new models, as seen in the trailer. The other colours will probably be some high ranking officials and rarely seen, so we need not bother with them as much.

That's what I'm hoping at least, because I think the red ones on their own could be really good and menacing, but that's my opinion.

I'm living in hope.

Not River Song again, please.

Oh drop the 'gay'. It's offensive and boring.

I believe if you read his post, Jessa92 was only repeating what has been said. Not saying it himself.

Mmmmmmmmmmm proper Daleks

Was hoping we really had seen the last of her. Then again felt that way about the Ponds. Doubt they will be killed off because no companion dies unless they are called Adric. Can't wait for Christmas and a new companion to breath some fresh life into the show. That said, I am looking forward to seeing the Special Weapons Dalek return....

Definitely, the baby one seems really scary!

river song my arse shes like an unwanted wedding guest ...a gatecrasher if you will..really excited about the new series but fear that she will drag it down again

Amen to that. They need to grow some balls and do another Adric. Rose, Martha, Amy Pond, and oh look, it's another sassy young lady, how fascinating. Less Hollyoaks and more science fiction please.

F**K ME THAT WAS AMAZING. I've been really down on the new series as I'm very jaded with Moffat but F**K ME. If he keeps up the quality of the trailer then... F**K ME.

I have serious doubts that this is how Amy and Rory leave the "Who" universe - Moffat is a trickster - he's not into feeding you plot lines and answers - he likes to have his viewers work for it. He will make sure that Amy and Rory's end will take you by surprise.
We are finally getting television that doesn't treat viewers like idiots - BRAVO!!!

SEX WEE WEE!

Oh boo-hoo. If you want proper science fiction, learn to read.

And the thickest, most pointless comment of the day goes to... revaaron.

Sounds like the kind of thing Moffat would do...not complaining, just gushing!

People. The Weeping Angels are getting them (The Ponds). Which is perfect, because it's the nicest way to say "That's it, no more Ponds." They get to live out their lives in the past.
