Edward James Olmos joins Dexter season 6

Den Of Geek favourite, Edward James Olmos, joins our most watched serial killer, Dexter, in the show's upcoming sixth season...

Not much of season 6 of Dexter is known at this point, with even the recent trailer giving nothing away. But we may have the smallest of hints in the news that Den Of Geek favourite, Edward James Olmos, will be joining the cast in a recurring role on the Showtime programme.

Olmos is set to play a professor of religious studies, which makes us wonder if Dexter, who already subscribes to strict conditions under which he dispatches bad guys (and he rarely breaks or bends his rules), will dwell on the religious aspects of his actions in the show's sixth season.

Whatever the role may bring to the show, we look forward to seeing the former Bill Adama back on the small screen, and in one of most eagerly-awaited shows, at that. Good news all round, so say we all? (Couldn't resist.)
