Donald Glover shrinks role in Community season 5

Dan Harmon may be back running the show, but Donald Glover will appear in less than half of Community's season 5 episodes...

Troy and Abed in the Morning is going to need to hire a stand-in host or two for Community's fifth season, as Vulture reports that Donald Glover has reduced his commitment to the sitcom down to appearances in only five of the thirteen new episodes.

Sony and Glover's representatives have reportedly worked out a deal wherein the actor will appear in less than half of the new season episodes, enabling him to spend more time on his Childish Gambino music career.

With Dan Harmon's return for season five, Community fans finally have the showrunner they wanted, but now much less time with their favourite double act. Community giveth, it seems, and it taketh away.

More news on season five as it comes in.

Thanks a lot Donald. Just when my enthusiasm for Community was resurrected....

my emotions! MY EMOTIONS!!

This sucks because Troy is such an awesome and hilarious character. But it doesn't suck because Childish Gambino's first full release was fantastic and I need some new music.

So now I don't know what to think.

I wanna murder him.
