Full Community cast returning for season 4

New showrunners may be in place, but the original cast will all be present and correct for season 4 of Community

After the showrunner shuffle-around earlier this year, some justifiable doubt was cast over the future of Community’s cast, particularly the question of whether Chevy Chase would return for season four.

Back in April, Chase hinted in an interview that he “probably won’t be around that much longer”, which, combined with his well-publicised spat with the show’s creator Dan Harmon, had many thinking it was curtains for loveable sociopath racist Pierce Hawthorne.

Not so, as Sony has confirmed that the entire lead cast (Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover, Danny Pudi, Chevy Chase, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong) will now be returning for season four, which is a comfort to fans. They must all have behaved themselves when it came to that leaked memo on how to speak to the press about Dan Harmon’s removal from the show…

Season four of Community begins on NBC on the 19th of October.

Yay!

Top show! Top cast! Just hope the quality is maintained without Dan Harmon. Would love to see Professor Ian Duncan return, he was a big miss in season 3.

Also, any chance More 4, BBC Four, E4, Pick TV or some such might show the series??

Looking at events leading up to Harmon's ousting, my guess is that Chevy's return was dependent on it.

I know the first series at least has screened on Viva in the UK ... yeah I know, I haven't heard of them either but honest they've shown at least the first series and maybe even the second ...

Fantastic news. Harmon's ousting was terrible but I have to say I'm looking forward to the potential new direction Community might take ...

I have heard of Viva, and vaguely recall seeing the show listed on my EPG a while back, however, I watched the first series on DVD. Maybe just maybe they will release DVDs of series 2 and 3?
