The mighty Patrick Stewart is set to take on his first regular TV role since he departed Star Trek: The Next Generation. It's been revealed that he's joining the cast of Seth MacFarlane's new show, Blunt Talk, where he's set to play a British television presenter looking to make his way in American cable news shows.
Starz is backing the series, and has already ordered two seasons of the show, at ten episodes apiece. The first season will premiere in 2015. Stewart will be taking on a producing role as well as starring in the series, which comes from an idea by Jonathan Ames.
Patrick Stewart already has a long working relationship with Seth MacFarlane of course, courtesy of his voicing duties on the likes of American Dad and Family Guy.
