X-Men director Bryan Singer is going behind the camera on the first episode of Vince Gilligan and David Shore's Battle Creek...

Vince Gilligan's Battle Creek, the detective series CBS passed on over a decade ago but in the wake of Breaking Bad's critical adulation are now dusting off, has found a pilot director. Bryan Singer, a man whose plate is currently full of X-Men, will direct the first episode of the already-gone-to-season-order crime drama.

House's David Shore will be showrunning Battle Creek, which tells the story of two detectives attempting to clean up "the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek, Michigan in the face of a lack of resources".

Bryan Singer stepped in to direct the House pilot for Shore all those years ago, making Battle Creek something of a reunion for the pair. We'll bring you casting news and more as it arrives.
