First footage of 24: Live Another Day in new trailer

Trailer Louisa Mellor 10 Mar 2014 - 05:25

Jack is back in this brief first trailer featuring new footage from twelve-episode series, 24: Live Another Day...

"Jack Bauer is a traitor, and a psychopath"

He's also the man tasked with stopping not only the assassination of the US President on foriegn soil but also the outbreak of World War III in new limited series, 24: Live Another Day.

The new twelve-part series stars Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub as returning characters Bauer and O'Brien, alongside newcomers Benjamin Bratt, Yvonne Strahovski, Gbenga Akinnagbe, and our very own Stephen Fry as the UK Prime Minister.

Teasers and promo images aside, below is our first real look at 24's return to television:

24: Live Another Day comes to Fox in the US on the 5th of May and to Sky One in the UK shortly thereafter. Read more about the series on Den of Geek, here.

I'd happily watch twelve episodes of Jack Bauer speaking dramatically about soil.

American president have been assassinated before, and there was no "world War" there exaduarateing a little, it better be good.

Goosebumps! Can't wait...

"This week on Gardener's Question Time we have a special guest from across the pond. Jack Bauer will be familiar to all of you as an expert on American soil...."

"He is also a traitor, and a psychopath. Thanks for coming in, Jack."

I think somebody wasn't listening, he clearly stated "assassinated on foreign soil", that to my knowledge has never happened before. Although a similar incident did cause WW1, maybe time to open up your ears, pick up a history book and also a dictionary while your there :)

Its funny. In the first series it was almost semi-realistic but now the show is all about how Jack is right about everything and everyone else is wrong.
It's nice to see Benjamin Bratt in this. He was wrong about everything in Demolition Man and I'm sure he'll be wrong about everything in Live Another Day. He's good at those sort of roles.
I can't wait for the scene where Jack Bauer says, "Mr. Prime Minister, we're out of time." or "Tell me where the bomb is."

Got a little jaded of the series towards the end of its original run, thought it became a bit 24-by-numbers. Despite that I am still stupidly excited to see this new version in May.

"If an American President is assassinated on foreign soil, you're looking at a World War."

Three words: Now .... yer .... talkin'!

"Tell me where the bomb is NOW!"

I'd soil myself as each bodily function submits to Bauer's power.

if this turns out to be the same old predictable banal shenanigans, I will pull no punches in panning this show. Let's hope they mixed things up a bit.

I just hope they don't roll out the standard British cliches, like most dramas do when they relocate to London. "Lord Posh, there's a colonial, Mr Jack Bauer, causing a slight ruckus in the drawing room. He keeps looking down and mumbling, then demanding to be shown to the balm."
