HBO orders Game Of Thrones season 3
It was pretty much a certainty, but is now official: Game Of Thrones is to return for a third season (and beyond, if we had anything to do with it)...
In light of the stonking ratings success season two is currently proving to be, that Game of Thrones would be granted a third season really wasn’t up for debate, but it’s comforting to have the news officially confirmed.
President of HBO programming, Michael Lombardo, praised Game Of Thrones creators David Benioff and DB Weiss for surpassing the network’s expectations with season 2, saying,
“We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.”
We couldn't agree more.

When will it be screened? Are they only making one season per year?
cant wait!! game of thrones is beast.... just bought the books now and cant wait to read them
Absolutely must finish the story must, make all the books for tv. HBO don't let me down
season two was boring
almost nothing happend in season 2. One battle and one white guy with blue eyes at the end for about 5 sec. and I still do not understand that map at the begining!!! Si-fi is in every move now in every cinema so you have to do better than blue eyes and small orange, green and ... dragons. COME ON!!!!
you were boring...go and see Rambo:))
Well, its clearly the series are not planned for retarded people, however I can recommend something like Peppa Pig for you, I think you'll love it.
I agree, series two never got going, a total waste of viewing time.
please please hurry up and get the next series out. its driving me crazy having to wait. I just bought the books but would rather watch this gripping program. I got everybody watching it. Well done for giving us something worthwhile to watch.
i love the show, can't wait till season three comes out
Season 3 announced on April 2013
Sorry, but I am the one who is giving here a real
feedback. I though it is going to be a season of action but ... it was boring:
/ - not complicated, simple.
Give me a reason why this season was cool instead of saying that I am retarded.
This question is as well to people who likes Soulrelic. Surprise
me! HAHA, amateurs
Rambo is cool. Why there was no hero in Game of Thrones, season 2?
it is not the action that gives this show high ratings. it's the story and all the other little things. a show's quality is not based on only one criteria, it spans to a whole lot of criterias that composes the general quality of the show. i suggest you watch happy tree friends or wwe or something if you like violence because the show is not intended for pure violence.
Epic!
Obvious troll is obvious!
Season 2 was beyond any doubt "a step ahead" of Season 1.
Amazing series...Tyrion is the absolute hero of season 2...its obvious that 2 second part is much more into "mind games"..thats why he is the hero of this part.
Exactly what Ron Paul Said, the quality of the show lies within it's storyline and character complexity - each character introduced in the series adds new elements that will converge in the future adding even more twists to it... You never know what it's going to happen. GoT it's not boring... slow perhaps as in first place you should be willing to read 7 books of 900+ pages each to get it through and the history is not finished yet and to be honest I wouldn't like it to.
If you are more of a fan of action, explosions and nonsense battles try the Transformers movies... I think that the number of explosions Michael Bay stuck in them exceeds the number of characters in each of George RR Martin's books.
if you read the books you know season two sucked
deanerys two hand maids die they were important in the future so was the king of quarth, the greenseeer that bran was supposed to meet before winterfells sacking, and again all they gave us was ten epsoides which is bull crap because we have to wait a whole nother year
if you read all the books your going to hate the show trust me
read the books and you will hate the show
its going to be split into two seasons
the first season totally fallowed the book but then the second season did not and it tottaly sucked impportant people were etheir left out or killed off too soon
Actually if u geek it up a little an read up on it the writer of the books and producers agreed that alot of the book needed to be cut out due to the fact that if somethings were kept it the show would fail, 20 episodes long each season and would be boring as hell to the mainstream. Agreed on some aspects this disappoint me alot chars killed an people cut out but its a must. HBO are fickle an would not be willing to produce a show book for book because theres too much in the way of omens and DEEP fantasy to mainstream it just wouldnt work so under the witers direction the ADAPTED (thats a key point in all this) show is being ushered in. The thing i think alot of people miss is that this is all needed to keep the show for us who love Game of thrones an want to see the outcome visulized change is needed an it still works. i read all the books so far an i love the show beyond anything on t.v. I know i dribbled on and thanks for taking time to read this but guys have faith its just started lets enjoy the journey and for those who aint read the books.... ur missing out coz this ride gets VERY messy an wild!
Much love!
I just want it to be more than 10 episodes per season.
this is killing, this series is outstanding
I don't see how was season two a step ahead when they changed almost half of the story as it is in the book....ridiculous....and still don't understand why they did it....cos, it would have been interesting enough with the script more similar to the writings of mr. Martin....
i've seen the first and second season and i love it. now, i'm thinking about reading the books. there are about 10, right? can you give an opinion about the books please? thank you!
I can't hardly wait for the third season:
Incredible mate, just dont read ahead of the TV show because like the bloke above says it ruins it. The books will blow your mind!!!
I'm concerned that the child actor who plays Arya Stark will be in her 30's by the time they finish the books and series....how will the series get around that???
