Ashes To Ashes gets second series
Simon Brew
Gene Hunt will return in 2009, as more Ashes To Ashes episodes are confirmed...
After a successful eight-week run that’s brought home good ratings for the BBC, and a resurgence in 80s fashion if you believe the tabloids, there’s going to be a second series of Ashes To Ashes, it’s been confirmed. The show didn’t quite bring home the numbers that predecessor Life On Mars enjoyed, and it’s been criticised in some quarters throughout its run for being a lesser show. But Gene Hunt will nonetheless be back in 2009, although we suspect they’ll follow the Life On Mars approach and stick to just two series of the show.
The first season will be hitting DVD shortly.
