Syfy is planning a brand new Battlestar Galactica web series, one that’s going to centre once more on a younger William Adama…

SyFy is working on a brand new Battlestar Galactica spin-off, one that will be entirely web-based, it's been revealed. The new series, Blood And Chrome, will be based during the Cylon War, and will centre on William Adama.
Talking to the Chicago Tribune, Mark Stern of Syfy described the show as "about a young man's initiation into war, both the realities of war as fought by soldiers on the ground (and in Battlestars and Vipers) and the somewhat less real version portrayed in the media".
The plan is to make up to ten episodes of around ten minutes apiece, and the production would be filmed using green screen technology and virtual sets (the Battlestar sets were all digitally mapped before they were dismantled).
Taylor promises that, should the show get the official go ahead, "it's a story that will take us to new corners of the Battlestar world (or worlds)". Citing The Hurt Locker as an influence, there could be more episodes of Blood And Chrome, should the initial run prove successful.
More information can be found at the Chicago Tribune here.
