FlashForward may get second season?

Reports of the impending death of FlashForward may just prove to be premature…
Published on Mar 2, 2010
Given that its ratings have dwindled since its stellar start back in the autumn, and given that the bulk of critical acclaim it enjoyed has also evaporated, the future for ABC's FlashForward series was looking really quite bleak.
Furthermore, the show's prospects haven't been helped by the fact David Goyer recently quit as show runner, leaving ABC to appoint a third show boss in one season.
And yet, according to Entertainment Weekly, FlashForward may have a better than expected chance of coming back for a second run. The show commences the back end of season one from March 18th, and EW reports that it may yet be saved from the axe by its overseas performance. Specifically, FlashForward does well in the UK, Italy and Spain, and it's those markets that could give it a reprieve.
A decision on the show's future isn't expected to be made until May, but the cards may just be more stacked in its favour than we first thought.
Meanwhile, James Callis has become the latest actor to join the show. Callis best known to Battlestar Galactica fans as Gaius Baltar, will be taking a significant role in the back end of FlashForward's first season.
Here's the EW story.
