Any Band Of Brothers fans out there? Catch a glimpse at the new mini-series from Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, The Pacific, right here…

There's a theory that there's a good number of fathers in the world who have received, at some point, the boxset of Band Of Brothers as a Father's Day/Christmas/birthday gift. That's no bad thing as it happens, as Band Of Brothers is certainly one of our most re-watched boxsets.
The Pacific is the spiritual successor to Band Of Brothers, with the same high production values and the same creative team pulling the strings. It's a ten-part mini-series that follows the path of a core group of marines in their battles in the Pacific during World War II. It's set to take them from early battles with the Japanese in Guadalcanal, through Iwo Jima, Okinawa and up to V-J Day. It's been a $200m production - you buy two and a half Spider-Man movie reboots for that - and is set to start screening at Easter.
As well as the collection of pictures that you should, by Internet magic, see dotted around here, Sky has also released a first look clip. It bangs on a little bit about watching it in HD, but you do get a glimpse at some of the visuals from the show in amongst the talking heads.
The Pacific is already firmly on our to-watch list.
