David Tennant’s US pilot not being picked up?

The pilot episode of Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, starring David Tennant, doesn’t look like it’s getting a full season order from NBC…

At the end of 2009, David Tennant was over in the States filming the pilot episode of a new drama entitled Rex Is Not Your Lawyer for NBC. The show, which has been in development for a couple of years, is about a litigator who suffers panic attacks, and there was an element of trying to get Tennant to enjoy the crossover success that Hugh Laurie had enjoyed with House in the US.
However, it seems like the pilot might not be being picked up. NBC has, according to Entertainment Weekly, ordered that the sets to the show be taken down. That said, they're not being destroyed and are being stored in case the show gets a pick up for the end of the year.
But the signs aren't looking too strong at the moment, and NBC is likely to weigh up its options and other pilots ahead of giving Rex the nod. A pity.
Here's the Entertainment Weekly story.
