Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures So, anyone have any idea what date the new seies will start? No that i can't wait, but I can't wait!
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures April 3rd is my guess as it is Easter Saturday. Series One (Mar 26 2005) and Two (Apr 15 2006) began on Easter Saturdays. That said Series three began the week before Easter (Mar 31 2007)and Series Four began on Apr 5 2008. So, it could be as soon as March 28th or as late as April 10th...;o)
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures There again the trailer says "Spring 2010" so technically it could be any Saturday between March 20th and June 19th! ;O)
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Flippin' heck Tucker! That sounds about right but soooooooo long away. Oh well, perhaps I might slip over on all this ice and send myself into a coma for three months, help the time pass by.
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Screw you, Matt Smith.
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Excitied about the new series - Matt Smith looks to be a fine Doctor... but more excited about the return of the Sea Devils and the Siluriains...yay!
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Read on Blogster Who that Richard Curtis reckons his episode will be shown in February! So, the transmission date plot thickens!! Wouldn't put it past the BBC to surprise us with an earlier start to the season. After the Xmas push for the show it would do well to capitalise sooner rather than later. Think the latest Matt Smith pic looks very X Files. Then again much like the new blue/silver logo it seems to emphasize a darker edge to the show. Given Steven Moffat's previous contributions, this seems likely. And if true it will be very welcome...
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Regards the return of the Silurians et al. Just hope they get the lighting right this time. Hoping for more of the Pertwee style originals than Warriors of the Deep!;o)
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures They can't start it in february, they're still shooting the thing. As far as Warriors of the deep, lets bring back that pantomime horse thing they had. What was he called?
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures the pantomine horse was called the 'Murker'. It wasnt supposed to be that bad (surprise) it was supposed to be a 'Alien' like creature that creeped around the shadows of the dark corridors. But as everyone saw all the corridors were white and took up all the episodes budget therefore the design team only had a few quid left for the creature which was made at the last minute - you can tell if you look closely as the paint is still wet
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures Didn't they get the guys who played the panto horse on Rentaghost to play the myrka creature? At the same time JNT was insisting the show wasn't a pantomime!
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures The Murker! That was it. I thought it was Merkin but that turns out to be a pubic wig, which is slightly more frightening than the thing they ended up with.
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures It was the Myrka, and it really was a recycled Dobbin from Rentaghost.......Anyway who said the Silurians and Sea Devils were coming back??
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures re timmyboy - they are in the trailer, only briefly but they have the strange circular gun the Sea Devils use. Really they are there, i am sad enough to go through the trailer frame by frame.
Re: BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures at what point in the trailer?...I still can't see... |

BBC releases new Matt Smith Doctor Who pictures
Simon Brew
Promotional imagery of the 11th Doctor is released by the BBC, as the countdown to Doctor Who series 5 begins…
Following on from the release earlier this week of the transitional picture of David Tennant and Matt Smith’s Doctors, the BBC has now released new promotional imagery of the 11th Doctor (which we cunningly attached to our piece on Doctor Who writers as well yesterday, but just in case you missed it...). Once again, there aren’t many words we can add to this, so we shall shut up and leave.
If you didn’t catch the picture earlier in the week, you can find it here.
