Oh silly, silly Jack. You know we must be at the last season of the show when you've got the title character coming out of retirement one more time, and that's what seems to be happening here with 24 season 8 (even though we're still awaiting confirmation one way or the other as to whether this really is the end for 24).

The new trailer for the show - which returns on 17th January - shows Jack wanting to settle down with his daughter (seriously, has he not seen what a fecking idiot she is in the seasons already gone?) and grandkid. That means no more fighting bad guys, no more manic days, no more saving the world from terrorism. Jack's hung up his sneer for good.

Only that would make for a fairly tedious 24 hours in his life. Thus, Fox called in another case, another load of bullets, and a shedload of explosions. And here's that trailer to prove it...
