Simon Brew
The independent web thriller Girl Number 9 gets its DVD release date and details.
Published on Dec 9, 2009
If you missed the online web thriller Girl Number 9 a month or two back, then there's a chance to see what all the fuss was about when it hits DVD the week before Christmas.
Starring Gareth David-Lloyd, Joe Absolom and Tracy-Ann Oberman, Girl Number 9 was the brainchild of the lovely James Moran, the same James Moran who has written for Doctor Who, Torchwood and Primeval. Plus he penned the movie Severance too. He came up with Girl Number 9 in conjunction with Dan Turner, and the pair shared directing duties.
Originally shown over six five-minute episodes, the DVD version is set to contain the show mastered from high definition source materials, and the list of the planned extras has now been revealed.
You're going to be getting:
* The special combined DVD cut
* Behind the scenes documentary
* Commentaries
* Interviews
* Gallery
* Trailers
* PDF script
* Easter egg
* Subtitles
The cost of the DVD will be £9.99 (with a postage charge of £2.50 on top), and that will help cover the costs of what was an independent production, and ultimately put some money towards another web series in the future. The disc will be available from December 21st, and once it's available to order, we'll let you know.
