Re: Doctor Who: The End Of Time: fresh details and new pictureThis makes me sad. David Tennant was strong enough to make me get over the lose of Chris Ecc. but I dont think some kid could ever replace those two. | |

Doctor Who: The End Of Time: fresh details and new picture
Simon Brew
The BBC has been confirming one or two things about the forthcoming Doctor Who Christmas specials, The End Of Time…
As the BBC readies its big push of its Christmas schedules, more and more information is being confirmed about the forthcoming two-part Doctor Who special, The End Of Time.
The two-parter, which marks - as you might already know - the end of David Tennant's tenure in the TARDIS will definitely be broadcast on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Part One will be shown on 25th December at 7.30pm, whilst Part Two will also go out at 7.30pm, on 1st January.
Furthermore, the casting of Timothy Dalton has been formally confirmed for the first time (although leaked pictures had already revealed his involvement). His part is being listed as The Narrator, but don't discount his involvement being much more substantive than that might make it sound.
Meanwhile, the BBFC has classified the two specials for their January DVD and Blu-ray release, which, in turn, has confirmed their running time. Part One is listed as running for 59 minutes and 42 seconds, while Part Two is listed at a whopping 72 minutes and 47 seconds.
Finally, there are the new pictures. They're not particularly radical new pictures, nor do they show us anything we've not seen before. But heck, we're suckers for new Doctor Who pictures...
