Here's a bit of disappointing news. Over in the US, two of the most intriguing series of the year are both getting their premiere next month. The new miniseries of The Prisoner will be kicking off in the US from Sunday 15th November, while V gets going even earlier, with a 3rd November premiere.

However, in the UK, we're going to have to wait until next year for both. The Prisoner is going to be screened by ITV, while V is being brought to Blighty by The Sci-Fi Channel. However, we've learned from both this week that neither has plans to show the respective series before the year is out. And while no firm transmission date is known for either, we do know that they'll not be in the UK until next year.

The Prisoner will be screening on ITV1, while those who want to get a taste of V might want to head along to MCM Expo in London later this month. That's because a 10 minute taster of the show is being screened on both Saturday 24th October at 12.15pm and Sunday 25th October at 1pm at the event (some weeks ahead of the US premiere).
