Gareth David-Lloyd joins Doctor Who writer James Moran for a brand new web project…
Published on Sep 18, 2009
Fans still reeling from the ending of episode four of Torchwood: Children Of Earth might want to keep an eye on a newly announced web project that's set to go live at the end of October.
Found at www.canyousaveher.com, Girl Number 9 is a series of half a dozen five minute episodes starring Gareth David-Lloyd, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Joe Absolom. It follows the story of Vincent Boylan (Absolom) who has been arrested on suspicion of murdering seven girls, but time is running out to get a confession from him. Gareth David-Lloyd plays the detective leading the team, but things start taking a turn for the worse, as he and his boss find themselves getting pulled into Boylan's mind games. We're promised a good cliffhanger at the end of each episode, and it all looks quite intriguing.
Behind the camera, Girl Number 9 has been written by James Moran (a man whose ever-expanding writing credits include Severance, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Torchwood: Children Of Earth, Primeval and Law & Order: UK), and he's making his directorial debut with the back three episodes. The first three are directed by Dan Turner.
Girl Number 9 will launch on 30th October. And you can follow its progress at its Twitter feed, www.twitter.com/girlnumber9.
