We're interviewing Tom Baker!
Stephen Bray
The longest running Doctor Who of them all is stepping into the Den Of Geek interview chair - and we need your questions!
Published on Sep 15, 2009
We're interviewing Tom Baker ... and we'd like you to ask some of the questions.
Yes, just a few months after getting to spend the day with Doctor #6 Colin Baker, we're now getting to ask some questions of his predecessor - the legendary Doctor #4, Tom Baker himself.
We don't have long before we'll be asking the questions, so if you want to get something asked of the great man, then let us know below! Oh, and try to keep at least some of them relevant to the Hornet's Nest stuff - it's the Beeb that has arranged this, after all!

Hornets Nest is interesting but not as enthralling as some of the Big Finish audio adventures, now that youve re-lived being the Doctor would you be interested in working with them?

As an actor, how does one get into character when one's role is that of a hundreds of years old alien? Do you work from the inside out or from the outside in? Do you come up with a backstory or ask the writers for background info?

Will you ever do a DVD commentary with Lalla Ward?

Just five responses? A pity - just think, you can ask him anything..! There must be more than 5 things you'd all like to ask Tom Baker...

Besides recording the Hornet's Nest and considering that Dr. Who is more popular with each decade and regeneration will you be returning for the Christmas Special in person as rumored in the upcoming charity episode called "The Eleven Doctors"? New and old fans alike would love to see you don the scarf once more even if it's just a cameo in the future.

Hello Tom my second question involves your autobiography. You have stated that you enjoy alcoholic drinks and even rekindled family bonds with your lost son Piers at a one in a million chance meeting with him in a New Zealand pub. What are your favorite beers or other alcoholic drinks and why?

Charity
I'm definitely asking the alcohol one. Good, original question. Cheers for that!

Thanks Stephen, I will ask my friends to submit questions for the honorable Tom Baker here. I must say i am only 25 year of age in America so I feel pained that not many people are responding to your interview offer so far. My graduate school professors are huge fans of Doctor Who and even one is a member of "The Sisterhood" yet relatively amateur when it comes to the internet.

Dear Mr Baker -
Do you ever plan to finish your second, children's horror story? (The one you started some time ago, about some particularly nasty crows.)

Now that you have a very successful third incarnation of your Official TOM BAKER Website on-line ... will you ever add a Forum or Shop to it?

What is the oddest gift you have ever received from a fan?

It appears that the "Hornet's Nest" series will see the good doctor visiting some very unusual places. So where on earth would you like to visit, that you have never been to before?

Have you ever thought about doing another newspaper column like your Weekly column in Reveille (75-76) or your book reviews in The Times (76-77)?

Depending where you look on the Internet your birth TIME is given as 6:12am or 6:20am. And though we know you were rather young at the time, do you know which of the two is the correct time?

What is this about the contents of a locked strong box, in The Bank of England, which would be revealed on the Official BBC web site, on the 100th anniversary of your birth?
