Mad Men: season 4 approved

Lots more smoking, drinking, rampant sexism and crazy ad campaigns to come yet...

We're delighted to see AMC's Mad Men will be going fourth, according to HR. Mad Men's season three premiere drew a record four and a half million viewers in mid-August, amidst the critical plaudits (including our own) that it must be getting accustomed to by now.
For those unfamiliar with the show, Mad Men centres on the cut-throat dealings of a group of Madison Avenue ad men in the 1960s 'Rat Pack' days. Civil rights are becoming an issue and the writing is beginning to appear on the wall for America, but the party's far from over so long as there are gorgeous girlfriends and hangers-on, an unlimited supply of cigarettes and booze and the most exciting working environment in New York.
Award-winning series originator Matthew Weiner will continue on season four of the multi-Emmy nominated show.
