James Marsters joins Caprica

Buffy star James Marsters heads to the Battlestar Galactica prequel series, Caprica…
Published on Aug 19, 2009
The currently-in-production first season of Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica has gone and added a familiar face to its cast.
James Marsters, best known, of course, as Spike in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel (but let's not forget his appearance in Torchwood too), has inked a deal that will see him playing a terrorist leader in Caprica, named Barnabus Greeley. Thus far, his contract is for three episodes, and according to Entertainment Weekly, "Barnabus is as lethal as he is unpredictable." Blimey. We suspect that. On the writing staff of Caprica, of course, is Jane Espenson, who also has Buffy (and Battlestar) on her CV. Er, just thought you'd like to know that.
The first season of Caprica kicks off next January, and you can read the EW story right here.
