BE WARNED: IF YOU LIKE YOUR EPISODES OF LOST SERVED COLD, IT'S PROBABLY BEST NOT TO READ AHEAD....

A few news titbits for the currently-in-production sixth and final season of Lost, arguably the most awaited TV show of 2010. If only to get some bleedin' answers off all those concerned.

Firstly, there are some returning faces.

You'll have to go right back to the start of season one for the first appearance of Greg Grunberg in Lost. The actor, best known now of course for his work on Heroes, played the pilot of the doomed Oceanic flight 815. And while he popped back again very quickly in the fourth season of the show, his work on Lost appeared to be done and dusted.

However, the actor has confirmed that ABC has been in touch with him about returning for the final season of the show. Again, it'll just be a cameo appearance, and he's had no firm detail of what it'd entail, and according to TV Guide magazine, Grunberg has said that "If NBC will allow it, I will go back".

Also rumoured to be returning is Maggie Grace (Shannon), who was killed off in the second season of the show. Emilie De Ravin, who played Claire, is coming back for the final season as one of its main characters, and Juliet, as played by Elizabeth Mitchell, will also be popping up.

Meanwhile, the opening episode of the show's final season has now been named. It'll be called LA X (presumably after Los Angeles Airport), which might explain where Greg Grunberg fits into things. Finally, the sixth season will now be running to 18 episodes, giving the final series of Lost an extra hour to play with.

The show will be returning in January 2010.
