Lost: the three hour finale?
We're getting an hour more of Lost than we thought - and it's back on our screens very soon...

Season four of Lost has been truncated to 13 episodes, as has been widely reported, by the WGA strike that only ended earlier this year. But for our money, it seems to have done the show the world of good so far, with the added urgency just one of the reasons why the show is on such form right now. Currently on mid-season break, the second half of the shortened series four starts broadcasting again in the US on Thursday 24th April, and presumably follows on Sky One in the UK on the weekend that follows.
We don’t have much more of the season to go, though, but a welcome surprise is that an extra ‘episode’ has been added to its run of 13. What this basically means is that the conclusion of the series covers three programming hours rather than two (take out the ad breaks and such like, and it's closer to two hours in total, of course). Thus, on 15th May the first part of the finale will be shown in the US, followed two weeks later by the final two parts. It’s still a bit of a stunted way to do it, but it does mean that the show gets extra time to try and tie up – or introduce – a few more loose ends.
Reviews of Lost will, naturally, be returning to Den Of Geek when the show commences its run-in. Thus far? We’ve been impressed, and we can't wait for it to come back.
