Mrs Slocombe herself, Mollie Sugden, has died at the age of 85.

We're sad to report that the actress Mollie Sugden has died, at the age of 86.

Sugden sprung to fame in the 1970s as Mrs Slocombe in the classic British sit-com Are You Being Served? Famous for one of the most blatant innuendos on British TV at the time - Mrs Slocombe's pussy, of course - her career also took in roles in The Liver Birds, spin-off show Grace & Favour, Z Cars and Steptoe & Son.
