Heroes, The Office, 30 Rock get return dates

Heroes returns for its fourth season, and now we know when, as NBC confirms when some of its key shows are back...

NBC has confirmed its Fall schedule over in the States, and in doing so has confirmed the premiere dates for its key series.
The Office will be out of the traps first, heading back to screens on Thursday 17th September for its sixth season. Season five had some sparkling moments, but on reflection, it did feel like the weakest run of the show since its tepid opening season. Here's hoping that the sixth season gives the show a boost.
The same could be said, and plenty more, about the critical fourth season of Heroes. The last two seasons have tested the loyalty of the most devoted of Heroes fans, and the news that Bryan Fuller has once more departed the show isn't going to boost confidence for season four a great deal. The new season kicks off with a double episode on Monday 21st September. We hope for big improvements.
A show that keeps getting better and better, though, is 30 Rock, and NBC has confirmed that it'll be returning on Thursday 15th October. As a result, that date can't come soon enough.
We're also intrigued at the second attempt to turn Parenthood into a TV series, and we get to see the fruits of NBC's labours there from Wednesday 23rd September. Given this writer's love of the movie Parenthood, it's one that NBC has at least one guaranteed viewer for...
