Chuck season 3 rumours untrue

Internet word of a surprise third season for Chuck proved untrue, according to the show’s producer…

For a moment, it looked like the news might be good. A report over the weekend was suggesting that NBC had bitten the bullet and decided to give Chuck a 13-episode third season run.

Given that few fans are expecting one now, especially considering how the narrative of season two is throwing in resolutions and dramatic changes, this was greeted with some joy among the loyal fanbase of the show.

It was left, though, to producer Josh Schwartz to dampen the excitement. On the eve of what could be the show's final episode - the season two final broadcasts in the States tonight - he said to GiveMeMyRemote.com that "The rumors are untrue. We have not heard anything nor do we expect to for a little while longer. So keep spreading the word, getting your friends to watch Monday and thank you for the amazing support so far."

Fingers crossed then, Chuck. But it's not looking good for season 3...

Not sure who is responsible for making the BIG decisions at NBC but they are just not listening or they are blind or are determined to piss off their dwindling audience. Shows like Chuck are entertaining and deserve to survive without them it will be another nail in the coffin and the death of NBC. Before long anyone with a little sense will start an online TV station that airs such shows and it will capture the viewing public.

I swear I said I would NEVER watch another freakin NBC show after they cancelled the Book of Daniel, however when one of my Computer nerd colleagues heard me talking about Jake 2.0 and told me about Chuck, I was drawn back to the dark side, and now I've watched every episode. Man that totally blows.

Hmmm... if they cancelled chuck i would have put NBC on my block channel list. They wouldnt know a good show if it was physically attacking them. Hopefully they will promote chuck enough and give him a new time slot... The show really deserves a whole lot more praise.

We need a season 3. The season 2 finale was heart-wrenching and amazing. When I read this column and heard that it is not looking good for a 3rd season it felt like a family member just had died. We need a season 3...

I'll tell you what the way they ended season 2 they better have a season 3. I'm tired of all these tv stations leaving stories unfinsihed, Las Vegas ring any bells, I plan my mondays around this show it is one of the three I actually follow. Bring back Chuck!!!!!!

I really don't know why TV networks bother picking up shows if they aren't going to support them. Chuck is one of the cleverest, funniest, silliest shows on TV right now. The only thing that's even close to wrong with Chuck is the high number of gratuitous bodyshots of Sarah. My bloke loves to look at a pretty girl, but when 5 mins out of almost every ep is skin shot, he feels like he's perving on her. Other than that, this show is pretty much perfect. Don't kill it NBC!

In my opinion, the 3rd season holds potential to have an entirely fresh and exciting dynamic, given the events in season 2. So no risk of the format getting stale.
