We weren't impressed with the pilot episode - but Knight Rider is still going to get a full run....

In spite of the tepid pilot episode that we reviewed here, it seems that the television revival of Knight Rider did enough to persuade an American TV executive to push the okay button.
What’s more, the show is going to be put under the stewardship – and this should give a clue as to the direction that NBC is heading with the show – of Gary Scott Thompson. Thompson, who will be executive producing, was the man who wrote the first of The Fast And The Furious films. He also created the James Caan-starring TV show Las Vegas, a programme that’s recently been canned over in the States.
The programme will return to American screens in the Autumn. Let’s hope it offers us more than the shoddy pilot episode, though…
