The Sarah Jane Adventures gets third season
Simon Brew
The finest Doctor Who spin-off of them all is getting a brand new series. This is good news.
After some speculation over the last week or two, not least Elisabeth Sladen suggesting that a third series of the show is likely to be on the way, it’s now been confirmed that the BBC has indeed recommissioned The Sarah Jane Adventures.
The show’s third series will go into production, and be broadcast, in 2009, and the key cast members – Sladen, Daniel Anthony, Tom Knight and Anjli Mohindrea – will all be coming back too. Russell T Davies is remaining on board as well, serving as executive producer, in spite of severing his ties with the main Doctor Who show.

Re: The Sarah Jane Adventures gets third seasonKinda weird that Davies is leaving WHO but staying on here. I suppose X-P is a fairly hands-off, nominal job, but it's not like Moffat didn't run one of the best loved UK kids shows of all time, too, right? |
