First things first, if you haven’t fully caught up with season four yet, then the video below isn’t one you want to be watching.

However, for everyone still here, ABC has unleashed its very first teaser trailer for the next season of Lost. Running to around a minute and a quarter, the trailer spends half of its time with old footage, before pushing ahead to some tantalising teases of what lies ahead.

We know, therefore, that the Oceanic 6’s mission to get back to the island is one that’ll save those who were left behind and vanished, and we know that the quest to get back to the island is likely to dominate much of the series. We don’t know an awful lot else, though, so perhaps it’s worth watching the trailer and coming to a few conclusions of your own…
