Martha Jones WILL return...

A quick Doctor Who update (Obsessed? Us?), with the news released this morning about the future of Martha Jones...

According to news released this morning by the BBC, and in spite of the ending of the abomination that was last Saturday's season finale of Doctor Who, we've not seen the back of Martha Jones. Good, say we. She was one of the few to emerge with dignity in tact from that episode.

However, changes are afoot for season four. Freema Agyeman's character will firstly make the jump to Torchwood for a trio of episodes there, and will pop back up in the midst of season four of Who, which is widely believed to be the point where David Tennant will part company with the show.

Also, a new companion will be joining the Doctor on his travels for the duration of season four. We suspect it might be a fella this time. But don't hold us to it. No word yet on whether the new companion will be on board for the Christmas special, which already has Kylie on its call sheet...

UPDATE: Heavy rumour suggests Tom Ellis, who was in the last episode, is down to be the new assistant...
