We've picked our reader stories for Den of Eek! 2
Our competition has closed and we've picked our winners for our next spooky storytelling event
Our reader competition for the second annual Den of Eek! storytelling event has now closed, and we've picked our winners.
We should say, first and foremost, that we received a huge number of entries and a huge number of really brilliant stories, so choosing which ones should be part of the night was a really hard decision to make. Many of the stories we read will be haunting our nightmares for a long time to come yet. But after much reading, re-reading, and deliberation, we've picked the following winners:
* Kit Allen, reading A History Lesson, and
* Chris Farnell, reading Just For The Taste Of It.
We've got another alteration to make to the programme, too: sadly, Paul Cornell won't be joining us, but we've invited fantasy novelist Tom Pollock to read us a story instead.
If you haven't bought your tickets yet, what are you waiting for? Den of Eek! 2: Urban Legends is on Wednesday 18 September, from 7.30pm at The Phoenix on Cavendish Square, London. There won't be any tickets on the door, so if you want to come, buy your ticket now!
