Bryan Singer teases X-Men: Apocalypse opening
As Days Of Future Past becomes the biggest film of the year, Bryan Singer teases the next X-Men movie...
This story contains a spoiler for the X-Men: Days Of Future Past post-credits sequence.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past has now overtaken Captain America: The Winter Soldier to become the top grossing movie worldwide in 2014 thus far (although expect Transformers: Age Of Extinction to seize that crown in due course). Bryan Singer's film has thus put the X-Men movie franchise in stronger commercial shape than ever. Unsurprisingly, Fox wants its next movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, in cinemas in 2016.
Singer - in spite of matters outside of the movie business - is still expected to direct the film, and he's taken to Instagram to tease how it's going to begin. And it's going to pick up by the looks of things where the post-credits tease of X-Men: Days Of Future Past ended.
In fact, judging by what we can see on the front of the screenplay teased by Singer, pretty much exactly at that point...
The Four Horsemen it is, then.
Note the writing credits too, incidentally. Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris - as well as being the credited screenplay writers for Superman Returns - were two of the names who shared credit for the excellent X2. X-Men: Apocalypse marks their formal return to the X-Men movie series.
