Peter Dinklage talks X-Men: Days of Future Past
Peter Dinklage has been chatting about his role as creator of the Sentinels, Bolivar Trask, in the new X-Men film...
Peter Dinklage is a wonderful actor who brings a lot to any role he plays, and having him form a part of the huge ensemble cast for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past is an exciting prospect indeed. You don't need us to tell you that.
He will of course be playing Bolivar Trask, the creator of the famous foe of the X-Men, the giant mutant hunting robots the Sentinels. What could easily be a cookie cutter villain role appears to have been approached in a more considered manner according to Dinklage, who said that he "didn't want to play the villain", when talking to Entertainment Weekly. He continued, saying "he's a man of science. He's a man of invention. He actually sees what he's doing as a good thing".
Dinklage went on to address the character's ambition, saying that he's "definitely blind and he's quite arrogant. He's strived all his life for a certain respect and attention". He concluded by addressing the hurdles to Trask's plan: "He's up against Richard Nixon. He's got some hurdles". He has indeed.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is released on the May 22nd 2014.
