Game Of Thrones' Peter Dinklage has joined X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Bryan Singer clarifies one or two things about his role...

Bryan Singer continues to move pieces into place for his soon-to-shoot new X-Men movie, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The director, chatting to IGN, has revealed that he's currently in negotiations with another actor to join the cast of the film, with announcements expected in the not too distant future. But he's also clarified one or two things about Game Of Thrones' Peter Dinklage in the movie.

Dinklage was widely expected to be portraying the role of Puck in Days Of Future Past, but it looks as though that guess was wide of the mark. "He's not going to be a CG character", Singer clarified. "He'll be himself", going on to say that "not that he'll be playing Peter Dinklage, he'll be playing this character".

Want a further clue? "It's not a shy character", Singer revealed, clarifiying that Dinklage was his first choice for whatever role it turns out to be.

Expect more on the film shortly by the sounds of it. X-Men: Days Of Future Past is currently scheduled for release on July 18th 2014.

In Singer I don't trust.
It isn't going to be Puck, just watch.

I hope Dinklage isn't Puck.

If he is Puck then cool but I would love him to be an antagonist human (as opposed to demonic possession) of some sort such as the rumoured Bolivar Trask. I wasn't interested in Days of Future Past because I wasn't all that enamoured with First Class but with the announcement of Dinklage my interest has returned.

why would puck be classified as a CG character? Is that how they refer to characters with powers?

Finally. A Sabretooth worthy of the name. Hope Wolverine's balls can grow back

He has to be Sabretooth, doesn't he?

scratch that

Puck isn't a mutant anyway

Or mini Sabretooth and let brad Pitt play Sabretooth. Is that an insult to Pitt or a compliment to dink, or vice versa, or what? X babies anyone? No one, please. Seriously though u don't need cg to play Mojo, n I don't mean another Austin powers reference. Dinklage can go all Pearl offa Blade n just look fat n weird, like John leguizamos Violator only standing straight... With metal robot legs like the doll on toy story.... What are we talkin about? I think this midget takes himself too seriously. Warwick Davis would be rolling on his grave if he were dead. But if dinklage were dead he would demand a regular casket. But when they open it for the viewing and see he's missing... They'll realize he slid down to the bottom... Then to avoid further embarrassment they'll put him in a guitar case and replace the hearse with a PT Cruiser. THAT'S for Death at a Funeral. Leave British cinema alone.

You seem like the sort of person I would avoid at a party.

Daria, please please invite me to your sweet sixteen

I don't think he was referring to Puck, just clarifying that Dinklage wouldn't be just voicing a CG character or doing motion capture stuff a la Golem

He always looked like Modok to me but am guessing Marvel Studios have rights to him in film..

No but he has a past with Wolverine which makes him part of the X-family and therefore as likely as any mutant to put in an appearance.
