Warner Bros chief wants new Wonder Woman film or TV show
More hints come from Warner Bros about future DC films and TV shows - and Wonder Woman might be a priority...
There appears to have been a fresh swathe of interest in bringing Wonder Woman back to the screen over the past few weeks, buoyed by the news that Warner Bros is to look to its DC properties for at least one or two movies a year. This has, in turn, come off the back of Kevin Tsujihara taking the top job at the studio, and it appears that he's pushing DC projects really rather enthusiastically.
Batman Vs Superman is the one major confirmed DC project to date, with a film of Fables also in the works. That said, there are rumours of many others, potentially building up to a Justice League film, and the name of Wonder Woman keeps being mentioned.
Not for the first time, it's now been mentioned by Kevin Tsujihara, too. Chatting over the weekend at a conference, he confirmed that Warner Bros has "huge plans for a number of DC properties on TV", and that the studio "need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV". That's the one property in the DC universe that he specifically cited.
It's a long way from a done deal of course, but we'd be surprised if there wasn't movement on a Wonder Woman project in the next 12 months. We'll keep you posted...
