Two teaser trailers land for Transcendence

Trailer Simon Brew 20 Dec 2013 - 06:36

Wally Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence, promises to be one of the must-see movies of 2014. And we've now got two teaser trailers.

When we put together our list of the films of 2014 that we're most looking forward to, it was Wally Pfister's directorial debut, Transcendence, that came out on top for us. Starring Johnny Depp, we've been intrigued by the project for some time, and Warner Bros has now started to reveal just a little more about it.

As such a pair of teaser trailers surfaced overnight. So let's do them in order. Here's the first one...

Teaser trailer two is along similar lines, although this time, it's Morgan Freeman on narration duties...

Both are examples in how you put the 'tease' into teaser trailer. We'll have more on the film next year...

Ahahaha where do I buy tickets this early?

Been wondering when we were gonna see this... looks awesome. Nolan's genius appears to be contagious...

[Picks up the Ticket Hotline] BUY, BUY BUY!

I was already in, but count me in again.

Wow. This looks really cool. I only learnt about the film about 2 weeks ago

This is terribly exciting. I really can't wait. However, did anybody else thing the graphics looked a little...cheap?

Yeah, let's just call it genius. We haven't seen anything of it yet, but that's not really important, right?

looking good, but with morgan freeman speaking how can you not like this trailer!

You don't have to see the film to pick up on the topics and themes they are going for. You know, the ones that seem as though they want to ask us interesting, intellectual questions.
I'm not sure, but I think that was what the guy was referring to when he said "genius".

This sounds like an episode of "Through the Wormhole". All jokes aside, this looks really promising.

The themes are interesting, indeed. But it doesn't give any indication on how they will be treated on screen. Because I could make a movie on singularity too and, believe me, no one would call the result "genius".
Maybe there will be genius in Transcendence, but it's probably best to see the movie before giving a judgement on that.

As a teaser trailer? Yeah, it's pretty genius... does everything it's supposed to in an intelligent manner and then some...
Genius, old boy. ;)

Just to play devil's advocate for a second this could end up as just some sort of "Intellectual Terminator" but I'm totally on board for this based on these trailers :-)

Sold.

There it is again, that classic start-up noise: braaaaammmmm ... for 130,000 years .... I am looking forward to it
