New CinemaCon trailer for The Wolverine

Trailer Simon Brew 1 May 2013 - 17:42

More footage of Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine arrives, courtesy of the now-released CinemaCon trailer...

Earlier this week, we got a longer look at Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim movie, when the footage that was screened at the CinemaCon event recently was finally released online. Now? It's the turn of The Wolverine, with a new minute-long (nearly) trailer for the film. There's new material in here, although Fox is still holding some cards close to its chest. But take a look and see what you think of this.

The Wolverine is released in cinemas in July. Thanks to Bleeding Cool for the heads up on the trailer.

Okey-doke, with the foofaraw at beginning and end discounted, we have a grand total of about 40 seconds of totally disconnected teaser footage ...

Looks fine, though. The move should be good.

Silver Samurai a robot?

Haha, yeah. It looks like the Japanese Tony Stark has a beef with Wolverine.

OK, it looks awesome, but how does this movie stand towards Days of Future Past. With all the timey wimmy stuff in that last one, I wonder if for this Wolverine Days of Future Past is something that has to happen or something that has is yet to happen. It's also wonderfull that Jackman still wants to play Wolverine for wat is now 6 movies.

The entire X-Men movie franchise is disjointed and filled with plot holes.

Every isolated film backs the narrative into another corner that the next film either sidesteps or just blatantly ignores.

I'd like to see a complete rethink of the X-Men films, make a truly epic trilogy.

We get it, Wolverine. You've had a tough life, you don't know where you're from, you have attachment issues and you are searching for a meaning to your life. Just move on, mate.

This actually looks quite good.
