Trailer for sci-fi film The Signal, with Laurence Fishburne

Laurence Fishburne returns to sci-fi with The Signal, due in cinemas later this year. Here's the trailer...

The Signal may not have been a film to creep onto the radar of too many people, but from the outset, it looks quite interesting. It comes from director William Eubank, and features Laurence Fishburne in the lead role as a creepy scientist. It's certainly got our attention so far.

Fishburne lures three students on a road trip, and they soon find themselves seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Which is roughly when the fit hits the shan.

Scheduled for release in the US on June 13th, we have no UK date for The Signal yet. But we do have a trailer, which you can see below these words...

So, they've made that "Akira" movie after all?

Did anyone else feel angry and confused the end of Event Horizon?

I definitely wanna see this movie! It look amazing imo. The story doesn't sound very original but of you look at the trailer it's clearly more than your average teen slasher flick. (it's not even a teen slasher flick)

No I got it from start to finsih?

looks good Scifi finally getting the love it deserves, and D9 had a big part to play in that

Depends on your own interpretations as it's quite an ambiguous ending. That's what I got out of it anyway. Excellent film and I'm not normally into horro.

Horror*

To be honest I can't even remember the end. Sam Neill did it? All I can remember is Jack Noseworthys goddamn eyes. And walking home from my girlfriends afterwards looking up at the night sky and actually being concerned, for the first time ever, about what COULD be out there.

The director's first film 'Love' was a very good debut, made on a shoestring.

ooooohhhhhh

Most obscure question ever coming up but Ill ask it anyway: What font is that numeric tattoo at 1:15?

Whoever can tell me wins 1 internet point.

Sam Jackson looks like he's putting on weight in this movie...

it looks like Calibri
