The Lego Movie: new TV spot and posters

Batman and Superman appear in the new posters and TV spot for this year's The Lego Movie...

Before the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel clash in 2015's Batman Vs Superman, they'll meet up in a blockier guise in The Lego Movie - and from what we can tell, they'll be meeting in far better terms in this year's animated family film. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller have written and directed it, and everything points to an anarchic collision of familiar characters and bizarre situations.

To this end, we have Batman, Superman (voiced by Will Arnett and Channing Tatum respectively) and several other DC Comics stable mates team up to defeat the plans of the evil Lord Business (Will Ferrell). Actually, the main star of the piece is an ordinary Lego figure named Emmet (Chris Pratt), but understandably, Batman and Superman have featured heavily in the marketing so far, hence the pair of new character posters below, and also the repeated glimpses of them in the aggressively-edited TV spot, which appears to contain a few new snippets of footage.

As you can tell, The Lego Movie will be stuffed with cameos from other Lego-immortalised characters, from Ninja Turtles to Abraham Lincoln. There'll no doubt be countless others to spot in the finished film.

The Lego Movie's out in UK cinemas on the 14th February.

Did anyone see The Flash in that clip?! Silent but quick DC comic move.

LEGO should be in capitals...just saying. I'll leave now...

Saw the trailer when at the cinema watching Frozen. I was pleasantly surprised. Will Arnett sounds awesome as Batman (yes the awesome was intended).
