Apart from Jen, they all look like Lady Gaga wannabees

Lenny Kravitz? Come back Gene Simmons, all is forgiven.

I was very underwhelmed by the first Hunger Games, it had stolen so many references from the Japanese movie 'Battle Royale' that I was bored with watching it as soon as they hit the arena.

Like mentioned below, the writer just westernised and Lady Gaga'd BR.

Jen is so lovely :P

I really liked The Hunger Games. However, I haven't seen Battle Royale so that's probably why. I am very excited for Catching Fire though.

All of you are saying man they look like Lady Gaga, Well the people that they show other than Jennifer are from the capitol, if you have read the books you would understand how the people from the capitol "Lady Gaga" Their clothing. they dress very much over the top. In my eyes I think that they did a good job on the costumes. ;) But that's just my opinion.

I understand that it's essentially a teen movie, but I thought the entire Hunger Games movie was just an exercise in convenience. Having never read the books, I went into it entirely unbiased, and came out thoroughly underwhelmed by the actual games. The lead up was great! Very intense stuff to watch! The actual games, though.. Like I said, an exercise in convenience. I don't know what source material they were working with, but it all seemed to go so smoothly. How lucky for her that the one dimensional baddies killed off all the innocent kids for her. I know it would defeat the object of her being the main goodie character, but that emotional dilemma would be almost unavoidable in a game like that. A dilemma she never had to face, since, as I said, the baddies did all the hard work. Convenient.
