As expected, development work has started on The Expendables 3, and we're guessing that a release towards the end of summer 2014 is on the cards. We've heard plenty of rumours about the film - John Woo possibly directing, Jackie Chan, Harrison Ford and Nicolas Cage in the cast - but Sylvester Stallone has now taken to his Twitter feed to offer some more concrete information.
Confirming that he's in the process of writing the third film, Stallone revealed that "EX3 needs new blood and more humour", adding that "the films were always meant to be more on the humorous side with moments of drama".
Revealing that he's wrapped on his upcoming boxing comedy Grudge Match, where he stars for the second time opposite Robert De Niro, Stallone ruled out Steven Seagal appearing in The Expendables 3, but said "maybe we get lucky with J Chan". He also teased that he's looking to bring in some younger blood. "By young I mean 22 to 27. Not big bruisers but tech wizard, super brains and a young woman who is not a sex symbol but funny, tough, REAL".

Seagal is a numpty and Stallone rates him as a tosser at best. He looks like the bloated corpse of his former self.
