12 Years A Slave's Lupita Nyong'o is being linked with a leading role in JJ Abrams' Star Wars movie...

It's been quite a month for young actress Lupita Nyong'o. Just a few weeks ago, she picked up a Best Actress In A Supporting Role Oscar for her extraordinary work in Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave. And now? She's been heavily linked with a lead role in JJ Abrams' upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

The exact role, as you might expect, is far from known. The Hollywood Reporter argues that "one possibility is that of a descendent of Obi-Wan Kenobi", also noting that "that is separate from the search for two roles, female and male, for characters in their 20s".

Filming doesn't begin for a little while yet on Star Wars: Episode VII, and JJ Abrams and his team are still deep in the casting process. When we do finally hear something concrete, we will pass the news your way...
