Rumours suggest Breaking Bad's Jesse Plemons may have been lined up to play a member of the Skywalker clan in JJ Abrams' new Star Wars film

Now this is an interesting rumour for the casting of Star Wars: Episode VII; it appears as though Jesse Plemons is being targeted for a key role in the film. Plemons is an immensely talented young actor, as well as someone who bears enough of a resemblance to Mark Hamill to convincingly pass as a member of the Skywalker family. His catalogue of work to date shows he has the range to play either side of the force, or indeed a combination of both.

Recently he's best known for playing (creepy) Todd in Breaking Bad, and he's has also appeared in the critically acclaimed The Master. His big break came in the TV series of Friday Night Lights as all around nice guy and wannabe Christian speed metal star Landry Clarke.

It's worth noting, that like a number of the other reports that have surfaced to date, that this is just a rumour but it's certainly one that makes a lot of sense. Plemons is a very talented actor who deserves lots and lots of interesting roles.
