Sony confirms the disc release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for September...

Sony has confirmed the UK DVD and Blu-ray release date for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The new film will be released on disc from September 1st 2014, with a digital version available from August 18th.

Your buying options for the disc edition will be a two-disc Blu-ray 3D set, a Blu-ray, or DVD.

We've got a taste of the extras too, although they'll mainly be confined to the Blu-ray editions of the film. Over 90 minutes of features are promised, including Dane DeHaan's screen test, a six-part behind the scenes documentary, a filmmaker commentary, deleted scenes and a music video.

The documentary - The Wages Of Heroism: Making The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - will include "more than 60 minutes of immersive featurettes detailing the heroic efforts needed to bring the film to life". This will take you through the process from planning through to post-production by the looks of it.

The DVD version meanwhile will feature the commentary track, deleted scenes and the music video.

Getting the 3d one. Just hope it comes with the 2d as well.

Yeah I might steel mine too, it's not worth paying for :P

Most 3D releases come with 2D, shouldn't have an issue there
