Sony gets to work on The Amazing Spider-Man 3
Writers are hired for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and there are some familiar faces back on board...
Now in post-production is The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which Sony starts the worldwide rollout of next April. The movie is the first of three confirmed seqeuls to last year's The Amazing Spider-Man, and whilst director Marc Webb continues to shape his new movie, Sony is getting the wheels in motion on the one after.
It's been revealed that the studio has hired Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner to put together the screenplay for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, This is not a huge surprise, as this is the same trio who have locked down the script for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the story is expected to move from one film to the other, rather than each movie be utterly standalone.
There's a two year gap between Spider-Man films right through until 2018, and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be in cinemas on June 10th 2016. Marc Webb is expected to direct again, but that's not been confirmed. Kurtzman and Orci have also committed to write the next Star Trek film as well.
