The 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, will be arriving on disc in February 2013...

UPDATED: Skyfall is now being listed for release on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on February 18th.

Anyone who picked up the exquisite Bond 50 Blu-ray set will note that there's a space that's been thoughtfully left for the 23rd James Bond adventure, Skyfall.

Skyfall is, as we've reported here, on course to be the biggest James Bond adventure of all time at the box office, and it's going to be a while until it leaves the big screen. Inevitably, the DVD and Blu-ray release is going to be huge, too, and the first hints as to when the disc will arrived have now popped up.

Amazon Germany has put the film up for preorder, and in our experience, its pre-order dates that it gives tend to be within a week or two margin of error. Obviously there's been no official word of this yet, but Amazon Germany is listing Skyfall for release on disc from 1st March 2013. That's a Friday, but for a massive release such as this, that's entirely feasible.

Our guess is that given Easter falls at the end of March in 2013, Fox (who distributes the discs) will want it on sale a good few weeks ahead of that. That March 1st date sounds very possible to us.

Amazon Germany is also listing an updated Daniel Craig James Bond collection boxset for the same day. Again, none of this has been confirmed by Fox yet, though.

I'm predicting 18th March 2013 in the UK.

What do you want a badge ?

Ooh, an entire month out ; 18th February!

Hardcore man.

I can't wait. Hopefully will have a new TV by then to experience the superior visuals.

Its February 18th 2013 not March 1st 2013.

I just finished re watching the Connery Era from the Blueray boxed set. Just brilliant and the remastered picture is superb. The quality, makes them look like they were made yesterday. Why the hell would I want to see a poe faced Daniel Craig, who looks like a cross between a turnip and Sid James, running around in the London Underground, then sitting in a chair being shaved, then re creating Home Alone in the Highlands, when I have just watched Connery in Exotic Locations, being smooth, charming and ruthless in turns and had hours of fun romping through secret bases in Volcanoes amongst many other classic scenes.
No doubt Skyfall will sell like mad, but it is without doubt the most charmless, boring, dull and depressing Bond film ever made. I hope everyone else enjoys it, but it left me cold, and since the appetite for this films seems to increase over time, I hope everyone is happy when we get more of the same in the next one. Skyfall is what finally killed Bond for me. Until we get another actor and producer and new writers I dont want to see anymore. There was not one fun standout scene in Skyfall...well maybe the opening five minutes, but after that...dear God...they must have blown the whole budget on the opening scenes. No exotic pretty locations, no groovy gadgets, music that makes you want to pull your own ears off, no proper Bond theme nothing...As you can guess I wont be buying it. Anyway for those that liked it, sorry and enjoy the film on DvD and Bluray...

What is? My Reply...or Skyfall? Or Me...? Its also the reply that Nick Frost gives Simon Peg in Shaun of the Dead when Shaun starts to get wound up....

"Anyway for those that liked it, sorry and enjoy the film on DvD and Bluray..."

I will, thank you.

cool, wonder how long its goig to be for the Hobbit release.... Bluray releases always seem to appear months earlier in torrent form in the Uk so I expect the Hobbit around March...
