Two more faces are added to the cast of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For...

Work is now underway in earnest on the long-awaited second Sin City movie. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are directing again (we don't think guest director Quentin Tarantino will be back though, but don't rule it out), and the green screen is already being put to good use. There's been no shortage of recent casting information on the movie too, with the latest being that Bruce Willis would be joining the many names returning. But now we've got two more new faces who are signing up too.

The first is Julia Garner, who appeared in last year's The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (not a bad little film that). She's set to play opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the movie, as a young stripper. That's all that's known of her character thus far.

Then, we've got the news that Eva Green has been recruited to the movie as well, and she's going to be playing the Dame of the film's title. This was the role that Angelina Jolie was linked with for a while.

Filming has begun on the movie, which still has a release date, in the US at least, of October 4th 2013.

Do people really care about this belated sequel/prequel/whatever? Sin City was a one off, & a pretty average one off at that. . .

Yep, Sin City was awesome and a very faithful adaption :)
can'y wait!

Impressed and pleased with the casting of Eva Green as Ava.She was so sexy in Dark Shadows that i feel like my trousers are on fire when i watch the film. She's worked with Daniel Craig,Matt Smith and Johnny Depp and is the ideal choice for providing the allure and menace that this character needs. The casting of this character is critically important to it's success and i think she's exactly right for the role.Looking forward to seeing Bruce Willis playing Hartigan again too.Yes please.

I really wasnt bothered about this film but with Eva Green now in it im on red hot alert and my trousers have just gone Defcon One! That lady makes me go 'grrrr' every time I see her!

Hopefully now that Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez are no longer together she will not be cast in the film. I've been re-watching Charmed and she is a terrible actress. Alyssa Milano, from the same show, is much better looking and a better actor but she did not seem to receive the parts that McGowan did. I've no idea how she managed to get any acting jobs as bad actress normally have to be good looking, like Jessica Alba.
On a more positive not I'm glad that Eva Green has been cast. She still looks fantastic and is a fantastic actress.

Looks nice, can't act. Sometimes that's just the way it is. Getting work is just as much of a talent as acting ability I suppose.
