New trailer and poster for Scary Movie 5
Scary Movie 5, starring Charlie Sheen, is but a month or so away. Here's the new trailer and poster for it.
Arriving in cinemas in April is the belated, fifth instalment in the Scary Movie franchise. Not withstanding the fact that the movies haven't really been funny since the second one, and also that they've lost their main asset - Anna Faris - Scary Movie 5 nonetheless looks set to try and lampoon the latest trends in horror movies. Hopefully, it'll do a better job that the likes of Epic Movie, Date Movie, and the shitfest films of that ilk.
To see just how things are shaping up, here's the new trailer for the film, along with a brand new poster. Can't say it did too much for us though but, as ever, we hold out hope...

I think that possibly the first trailer for a comedy in history that has failed to make me laugh ONCE... This looks dyer. I hope it kills the franchise COMPLETELY... along with the other "shitefest movies"

The other Scary Movies were decent so here's hoping. The first couple were obviously better than the last couple, but they were all good enough to make me laugh. The loss of Anna Faris is intriguing, since she was the glue that held the films together. Hopefully this isn't one of those trailers that has all the funniest moments in the trailer, since this wasn't that funny

Never a good sign when it's a poorly 'shopped poster that none of the 'stars' were directly involved in.
Charlie Sheen just looks really out of place. Not paying full price for this.

The wayans brothers have also released a scary movie type film called a haunted house. Looks pretty much same as scary movie, we will have a choice of two ropey films to watch this summer
God, I hate Hollywood.

I thought the third one was the best one, actually, but even Anna Faris couldn't save the fourth. Without her now, it's no buys from me for Scary Movie 5, and may God have mercy on its soul.

Haven't been funny "since the second one"? The second one is absolutely atrocious. The last one, while awful, had the edge on that.
Spoof movies need to die. There's nothing intellectual or thought-provoking about their brand of comedy; it's just all about taking scenes from much better movies and adding dick jokes, fart jokes and pratfalls.
